Insta-Friday
I can't believe it's December already? Why is this year almost over, not that I'll be sad to see it go, but I've gotten used to it for the last.. 11 months. And they we have to go change again. Sigh.
Linking up with Insta-Friday @ Life Rearranged. Found this through another blogger and it looked like fun! This past week has been incredibly busy, thus leaving me little time to think of things like.. whipping out my iPhone and snapping photos..so I included some from last week. They aren't in order by date..because.. I didn't of that when I let Picasa create a collage. #fail

I am one of those "people" who let their dogs sleep in bed with them. Not all three, of course.. I need to have somewhere to rest myself, but the dachshunds can fit comfortable, and don't mind me rearranging them in the middle of the night.
However, my oldest and I are going to be having a little "come to Jesus" meeting over this next week. Now I love Bubbles, whether those feelings are reciprocated is debatable (whoever said dogs love "unconditional is a liar. Plain and Simple..or only had labs). Bubbles is really my dad's dog, but since they really don't want to be bothered with dog care, she lives with me.
However, ever chance she gets, she's high tailing it to my parents house up the driveway. She could careless that she can't get on the furniture there, has no food up there, has no dog beds up there, her people are up there and that's where she wants to be.
What am I? Chopped liver?!?
Obviously not because she would be down here more that's for sure!
Anyway. Since she's gotten older, she has decided that she can afford to be catered too. (Probably because my family caters to her whims as well, not to mention that she can be obnoxiously persistent when she wants to be) This has manifested itself, in things like 4AM water runs (aka I get up, run to the kitchen fill a bowl of water, stand there and let her drink from the comfort of the bed, as otherwise I'd have to pick her up and put her on the floor, and then back on the bed and that's just too much work at that time in the morning.. and then crawl back in bed afterwards.) Not to mention her "early to bed, early to rise" motto drives me and Texas a little nuts.
SO WHAT If the alarms going off! GET BACK UNDER THE COVERS GIRL!
Since my schedule is changing to early mornings 5 days a week, not to mention weekends. (Urgh!) Sleep is valuable to me. So Bubbles will be sleeping in her crate at night. She has her bed and bowl of water at her disposal
And I'll have my sleep.
Cause that's what matters.

October 2nd
| From October -31 |
Ordinary Friday....work, with a little bit of pain to remind me I'm human, and just how precious our health is. Its something I refuse to fail to thank God for each and everyday. Pain does make it hard to properly exercise the dogs, but thanks to that^^ little invention..all I have to do is move my arm to let the ball fly, and the dogs exercise themselves.
Our excitment of the evening was finding a mouse in the garbage can. Alive.
I'd trapped one, but was unhappy to find still more mouse droppings...so I've eliminated all food sources from my cabinets..dog food is in plastic containers, garbage is now in a lidded can. I decided to put the old can in just to see if mouse #2 would fall in, and die. Success...partially....
Bubbles alerted me to some.....rodent activity yesterday, but I was too chicken to check deep into it...though the container did feel oddly weighted...
My sister came over to try and steal some of my food, and I almost conned her into lifting up some of the paper towels I thrown in there, to see if there was anything under there. Unfortunately she was too smart and just peek in the can...so i got to be the one who grabbed the can and saw the mouse peek his nose out.
We both screamed of course and place the can back on the floor. After jiggling it around I decided it was dead, and moved it outside.
But when I went outside to move the can away from the house....mousey was sitting on the towels looking at me. I probably woke a couple of my neighbors, but they are probably too drunk/high to notice.
Being the nice person I am, I took Mousey up the hill and dumped him into the woods....and fled the premisis. Tomorrow I'll probably spend my evening cleaning my cabinents of mouse droppings.
PUKE.

In just a few short hours, another Wilderwood Graduation will become history; I am saddend because once again i'll have to say goodbye to another very special guy in my life. But he has such a great family, I really can't think sad thoughts for long when I see that face :).
Other news, my air conditioner decided to stop working, and its MISERABLE to inside at least until about 11PM, and than its good until about 12PM, and we're hot again.
The ceiling fans, and my two little desk fans are working their hardest at stirring the heat around...but not doing much good. {*sob*}
Did my monthly shopping yesterday....over spent by about $100.....yeah. not good ERIN. Though I will admit that I didn't do as much planning as I did last month.
Lessoned Learned.
Next week is our church's camp meeting (convention type deal) while I am looking forward to it, I'm completely stressed out as too how I"m going to deal with my dogs not having anywhere to exercise. My park hunt is not going so well, and I'm really starting to be at a loss of what to do. I have thought about kenneling them, but don't have money for that. I am SO moving aSaP....or at least before next years event!
And than after that.....time for my job change at Wilderwood....my time commitments is mostly what I'm nervous/annoyed/stressed/idon'tknow about; but we'll see if my dear co-workers will let B & T hang out in a crate while I'm out there...else its almost pointless to have a dog, if you are gone from them all the time.
...."its the little foxes that spoil the vine".. - Song of Solomon 2:15
And its these little things I'm letting get to me.
But other than trying not to stress...this week has been good.

Bandanna's
We were honored to be able to receive some bandana's from one of our new twitter friends! Go check out her store here: http://www.thehandmadehound.com/
Or follow her on twitter: twitter.com/handmadehound
Bubbles was all about her bandanna and pranced around the house.
Texas wasn't overly fond of his bandanna, and begrudgingly let me take photos.
Gideon got one too...but let it be known quickly that he thought it was a play thing...so we'll attempt pictures later. haha

Shopping
I'm not one who is a shopper...
I don't go out and just randomly by stuff...often anyways.
I'd rather research it online, and see if I can buy it there, if not I'll go get it from the store with the best deal.
Not yesterday!!
My parents are out of town, and I had news year day off.....
So I did what apparently everyone else in town did.
I went shopping!!!
The dogs of course went with me....

I am NOT a good impulse buyer..
I tried really hard to be, but in the end I wound up going right back in the store and returning things. And going to a different store and buying it at a lower price.
But I was able to get somethings that I wanted from the instant I saw them.
Have I mentioned I love Target??
Somethings for "my" house, I love the bright cherry colors of the Garden Party set, and am buying bits and pieces as I can afford it. So I have the Table Runner, Napkin Holder and Silverware.
Bubbles and Texas NEEDED some sweatshirts...
FOR REAL!!!
So I'm a sucker for them...
God help me when I have kids.
ROFL!
