Stuff and Things

its official. i no longer can use comic sans. [!!! I meant Georgia! Where in the world did comic sans come from? Not that i EVER use that font either!]

if wishes were horses beggars would ride.
unless the beggar didn't want a horse ..
then what?
also? why do wishes have to be horses? If they were dogs

i don't get that quote, but it was a fitting segway into today's .... monologue? musings? ramblings?

Did You Know ...
  1. 368 days ago i started my first full time job?
  2. its been a very long 368 days
  3. i miss the freedom of working parttime. A day to sleep a day to work ... now its just work, work, work, work and more work.
  4. your house stays very messy when you work full time
  5. your good eating habits also go out the window
  6. other people's habits interest me. i waste a lot of time watching people's morning routines. and i don't even wear makeup. however i find myself become jealous of the fact they can get up and have a morning focused all about them. "first thing i do in the morning is brush my teeth, do my hair and my make up." My morning is more like .. "first i'm rudely awakened by a screaming pup, then throws some clothes on and rush outside for first potty break then feed all the dogs, crawl back into bed for an hour, before jumping back out again and letting the other three dog out, fixing my hair, brushing my teeth and getting my uniform on.
[This post was never completed, so we shall ever wonder what on earth else I had on my mind this day. Seemed like it was going in such a good direction. Ah well. July 11, 2014]

14 March 2013

This is where I write things like: I have words, I have lots of words, but placing those words into readable sentences feels like too much work right now.

Right now I'm grappling with figuring out how to manage what little free time I have. In ways that are productive that is.

So until I get that figured out .... it could be a bit quiet around here.

:)

Currently...

Its March

Today was my early day. A alarm-goes-off-a-6AM sort of early. Though I loathe mornings, I have found that getting off around 7-8PM isn't that much fun either. While I dread mornings, I drag myself up and haul my lazy self into work every other day; or whenever they decide to schedule me early.

It rained all day, by the time I headed home that afternoon, water was already forming ponds in neighboring yards, and I could feel the wheels of my car catch on some particularly heaving spots. Driving in rain almost scares me as much as driving in icy conditions.

I stayed home long enough to let the dogs out and figure out what groceries I need to purchase; before changing out of my scrubs and heading to W.al-Ma.rt. Can't rightly say why I took the time to do that, seeing as how no one dresses up to go to Wa.l-Ma.rt.

However, I am so tired of wearing a uniform, that I take every opportunity to dress in "normal" clothes I can. It took me about an hour and a half to get in and out of that black hole. I went in for supplies to make chicken salad, sweet potato fries, and a new recipe from the pioneer woman... I came OUT with all of the above, plus:

  • Supplies for a pinterest project I've wanted to try
  • Hangers for all my new clothing purchases lately
  • Two new scarves I just "couldn't pass up"
  • A new pajama set that was on clearance for $3
  • A new dog coat that was on clearance for $5
And that's just what I decided to keep after all the other things I put back.  I was proud of myself and you should be too. I have a serious addiction to scarves guys and WM is not helping it buy having them so cheap.

Even reminding myself of the fact that I spend 99.9% (or so it feels) in either a uniform or pajamas  doesn't quell that urge.

Its five minutes after 11 now.
How in the world did that happen?
I really want to curl up in bed and try to work my way through the 20 books I checked out from the library. Especially since they are due tomorrow.
But here I stand, my MacBook sitting on my ironing board, placed as close to the window as possible so as to maximize the wifi signal from my gracious, but ignorant neighbors.
(Ignorant to the fact that I'm using their wifi I mean.)

I still have chicken to transform into a salad for lunch tomorrow. Done!
There are still a bunch of dishes to wash.
I still need to wash my hair.
Its not going to happen tonight.
Too much work, and effort.

My iPhone's shuffle is cracking me up. Sara Barellis just told me she wouldn't write me a Love a song, but Selena Gomez jumps right in behind her and tells me she Loves Me Like a Love Song... and she keeps hitting re-pea-pea-pea-pea-peat

The time is now 1:07AM.
I'm propped on my pillows, stuck in this awkward position as my dog decided that my leg made a good body pillow. Literally.

I'm going to bed now world.

Until we ramble again!

Eleven More Days...

It's 9:39AM

A note randomly posted on the door of my
office
I'm sitting in my first class of the day, struggling to keep my eyes open and just focused on the computer in front of me. According to one of my classmates we only have 11 more classes before finals. I don't know that I can even last that long to be honest. --->

I've picked up my caffeine addiction again, mainly because its more readily available than other things...that I like I should say.

This semester, my work and school schedule has killed me, normally I work during the week, and have the weekends to "catch up"...not this semester. Oooh no. The majority of Saturday's find me, firmly behind a desk, in front of a computer, and typing in data, for 8-10 hours.

So here I sit, barely alive, wishing I could be at home in my bed. You remember how I said that I was going to use my one day off and do absolutely nothing?

That day was supposed to be this past Saturday. Did it happen? Nope. Are we surprised? Nope. The best part of the whole day was that I was able to get an extra two hours of sleep. The rest? Well... I wound up making a trip to school, to shoot a project for class, then decided to splurge a little and get some fall decoration for my house...

It was fun, until I got home and realized how much I'd spent...which honestly wasn't a lot, but in light of how much I had in my bank account....

Fun Times!

I miss Summer.

miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
{1} It was cold this morning. Like my neighbors/friend/roommates sister called to let us know that fact, which of course I'd already discovered as I ran the dogs out for the morning potty break. Yep! According to the radio it was 46 this morning. And as I look at my computer it says its.....gee only 54!!

{2} Oh this weather fills me with nostalgia. I'll admit, there are times when I miss my family deeply. The way we were before, together in one house, busy, but still close to each other. Now its like we're in two different worlds. Its not bad, but I miss the carefree feeling. Amazing what three little years will change!

{3} While I'm not a fan of fall weather at.all. I am a fan of fall food, and clothes! Hence my sudden obsession for new boots. I practically live in boots during the fall/winter. For now I have three pairs in my collection.

{4} Speaking  of boots... I went with boots #1 cause the other boots I really wanted (#4) were out of stock, and I can't remember what was up with boots #2. But rest assured, if I stick to my budget this month, I will reward my self with another pair!

{5} I've also revamped (as in re-formatted not redid) my 101 N 1001 list. I'm up to 30 out of 101 pretty good. But defiantly need to step it up! This week I'm working on my daily water intake and perhaps, getting up earlier than I normally do. *gulp*

{6} New recipes for this month will be "Baked Potato Soup" and "Spinach and Artichoke Dip". Both are favorites of mine at O'Charley's and Applebees, and I'm dying to see if I can recreate a version that I like! Adding to my list of things I can make as well. And checking off another part of my 101-N-1001!

{7} I haz cute puppies.

{8} Bad news is...looks like I"m headed to court after all for my citations. oh wait. I didn't tell you about those did I? Oops! Well a little thing really, expired tag and no proof of insurance. Cause in my home-state, they never asked for proof of insurance, so we never knew to carry it. But I got two of them in like three weeks. #notcool But it was recommended that I show them I have (will) taken care of my tag ($60 for a STICKER!!!!! AH) and did have insurance at the date of the accident/ticket and PERHAPS i can get off with just paying the court fees ($96.50 seriously!?!)

{9} What a horrible football weekend this was!!! What a stupid loss for the Vols!! Then my Titans failed me as well. I give up.

Thoughtless Thursday

First Thoughtless Thought:
"Man my stomach hurts.. maybe if I don't move...oh ow."

Second Thoughtless Thought:
"Hmm...so now the pressure for another car is on...the rents have said the "lease" on their vehicle is up and I need to start looking at places for loans. Whoa well when did this happen? Last time I checked you guys were completely against me having a loan. But if you say so, who am I stop me from checking into other vehicles?"

Third Thoughtless Thought:

I LIKE:
I totally need more shoes for school. Did I mention I like shoes?

Fourth Thoughtless Thought
"Its funny, how when you're "sick" its hard to think past the next, second or minute. I mean I want to be interested in things other people are saying, but I just can't find it within me to care at the moment."

Fifth Thoughtless Thought
"Random photo of myself and a co-worker at our annual Christmas party. Its almost the season to start flat ironing my hair again...."

Sixth Thoughtless Thought
- Hmm I don't feel as bad as I did earlier
