Snow Day 2013

I know what you're thinking. Snow day? Why not "Snow Days" or "First snow of 2013" or some other such fitting title? Because my friends, this is east TN we only get one snow day per season. And this was it. One moment the rain is coming down in sheets, the next ice, and the next huge beautiful snow flurries.I was still at work when it was started and was chomping at the bit to go home. Not really because of road conditions, ( I only live fifteen minutes away you see) but mostly due to this simple statement: who wants to be at work on a snow day!? OR trapped there for that matter?
Luckily they let us "early folks" go home around 2:30pm so I missed the masses of traffic attempting to get home, as the snow came down harder. Had I known that life would be right back to normal at 9:30 the next morning, perhaps I would have taken a bit more time enjoying the warmth of my house, the coolness of the snow outside, the beauty of it; instead of stressing about my budget.
(Which turns out was a complete waste of time due to things I just realized today!)
Perhaps next year. Until we meet again Old Man Winter!

The End.
P.S. ( I really miss my photoshop. I hate these vertical pictures messing up my flow.)
P.P.S ( You know what's really bad? When you're iPhone is taking better pics than your, albeit six year old, DSLR. ARGH!)

Happy belated birthday Rebekah!
In celebration of another year in my dear friends life, we (My sister, Rebekah, Jennifer and David ) road tripped it to Chattanooga TN to explore their downtown. Despite spending most of our time waiting for a seat in a restaurant, we had a great time!
The following is a mixture of iPhone and my "real" camera pics.
I'm still not in love with it. But it was practice, and made me realize some things.
Like I need to practice more? :)

Social Media Hiatus

This weekend, I attempted to remove myself from social media for 48 hours.
This weekend, I attempted to remove myself from social media, for 48 hours and failed.
I'll admit my heart really wasn't in it, so I didn't try TOO hard. However, I did turn off all notifications to my phone and it was nice not to constantly be checking my phone. It was nice not to have that thing nagging me all the time. Gave me lots of time to oo and aaah over these amazing cakes, at the Great Cake Bake competition, and and use my phone for other things besides updating SM. :)
The third annual "Great Cake Bake" decorating competition was held on the Tennessee Terrace at Neyland Stadium. I've wanted to go the last two years but never had the time to go. So I was happy to see I was able to schedule it in this year. It was a given that David would be with me, but I didn't realize that this was a really popular event amount the locals. Stepping out of the third floor areas in Neyland Stadium, I realized this wasn't going to be a quiet browse and snack event I was thinking it was.
There people, and cake, and kids EVERYWHERE! But we made it through, and enjoyed ourselves despite....
Have I mentioned how much I love my iPhone? I really need to make it official and get a "real" one... especially now that my SISTER has one.
Where is the justice?

Had so much going on at once, that you didn't have time to stop, sit down, organize your thoughts and photos...and write a blog post? Yeah that's pretty much how life is at the moment.
I don't have any time! Gargh! However... as much as I thought I'd hate theridiculously early hours of my new job, its not as hard as I thought it would be. Perhaps its just because I'm back to doing something I love again..(not that I don't love my other job, its just....I'll be there two years and its...well not as "challenging" as it once was, but its the best paying job I've had, and I love my co-workers so we'll be there until I graduate at least)
These next two weeks will be incredibly busy. I look at my calendar and shudder sometimes....however I wanted something to do to keep my busy this summer...and I've got it!
I've also got some BIG decisions to make this week...< insert another shudder > its making me extremely nervous, and starting to stress me out some. And the idea of me stressing out is stressing me out more..(my body hasn't quite recovered from my last bout of anxiety...the thought of food is still making me nauseous. I have NEVER been so stressed as I was last week. I don't want to do that again.)
Anyway, this is all to say, that posting will be spotty until school starts...(how ironic)...which probably means that I'll start posting more regularly. It always happens like that, so... until I write again!
Ta! TA!
- The first week it was a new job, new dog + old problems.
- Second week, is still new job, old dogs + their problems + VBS + New Drama.
- The 3rd week it was the new job + care of three dogs + VBS recovery + Other Drama + Stress

I don't have any time! Gargh! However... as much as I thought I'd hate the
