Randomness to the 'nth degree
  • Taking a break from doing laundry and cleaning my refrigerator.
  • The fun I have on weekends is ..... something. I just can't think of the word at the moment
  • Soooooo tired.
  • I think I'm going to abstain from caffeine for the next month. Haven't had a good nights rest in months!

November 8: A Game

Potential Titles for this Post:

Real LIfe of a College Student
"Oh Laundry How I hate thee...Let me Count the Ways"
1. Sleep 2. Social Life 3. Good Grades 3. Neat House - Pick Two. Welcome to College
I'm only 21 and already I need a maid..or at least a helpful roommate. *snickers*
For real though, my house isn't like this.
During the summer at least.
Then i have oodles of time to clean and straighten.
Really, cleaning is a hobby of mine.
!?!
Believe me, my mother was a shocked as you are.
I have no clue why, my bedroom was always clean and organized.
Oh yes, she said because they always had to "force" (my words not hers) me to do my chores.
Well come on!!
I was a teenager..so rebellion being obstinate is my nature at that point
Who WANTS to wash BY HAND, 8 people's worth, of dishes????
*Our dishwasher broke and my parents took their sweet time about fixing it.
When I say sweet time...think 1 year of hand.washing.dishes.
1 YEAR PEOPLE.
It was child abuse I tell you.
To this day I LOATHE dishes.
And Laundry.
Have you ever seen laundry for eight people? Its a nightmare.
My organized brain would go into over load so I couldn't do that either.
I still hate it, but only because I don't have a working washer and dryer in my house.
But as I was saying, I had good reasons for not being uber neat in the general population, parts of my families home.
But now that all the junk is mine...well you know, I don't mind to clean it up.
However...there comes a point in the semester where you stark "picking" the SLEEP category and the Good Grades category over the social life and clean house ones....
Six more weeks................

Kids + Photography

This week, I've been ramping it up in the photography department, I figure with four photo class this semester, I will be probably shooting at least two 8 GBs worth of photos..possibly on a weekly basis. So I've been going and just snapping, adjusting as quickly as possible to whatever situation I am in. My hope is too get into event photography as I am horrible with posing/setting up people. Give me dogs or kids and I'm good. Otherwise!? Not so much. This weekend, was our annual church clean up, and we had several congregations from NC and AL come up and help us straighten up the campgrounds for our big Tent Revival type Campmeeting in September.

I happily took kid duty (a rarity for me) and ran for my cameras. It was difficult since it was mostly shaded and we all know how quickly kids move! This is one of the ones I liked the most, not the best but cute all the same.

Have no fear, I was quickly coerced into cleaning bathrooms and washing walls.. with in 20 minutes as a baby-sitter. *snap* Saw through my plan. Sigh.  Thanks mom. :-|

Daily Thoughts

The random ramblings of me in 140 characters.....
  • Trying to figure out where all this laundry came from...I think I would remember putting my entire closet in the wash...!? #
  • Off to class feeling very unprepared. #
  • @K9_Kirsty good job Dan! How old is he now? #
  • Another blah grey winter day. Which I guess is perfect for office work... #
  • I think I'm all social networked out. Google Buzz just feels like a copy cat. Not overly impressed #

Restful Weekend?

I don't think I've ever had one of those....all of last year I spent most weekends working. And before that I was a homeschooler, so there wasn't much to differentiate the weekend from the rest of the week.

Now that I am working during the week, and do have weekends off, I finally understand what all the hype is about.

So what do I do to make my weekend restful?
Yep that's right. Clean.

I have decided to use my weekends to prepare for the next week, and what better way than to start with a clean house? I think i ts a great way, it makes me feel accomplished when I'm done, and I can start the week, with clean clothes, a clean house, and (if they need it) clean dogs.

This week...at least one need a baath, and so he was hauled into the tub, scrubbed, and sent outside to dry.
{Who me dirty?!? Noooo!}
Since I normally don't have the house too messy, I found how much I have to clean varies, and normally every two weeks I'll Deeeeeeep clean. And Mop, and do mounds of Laundry, etc.

And than I can organize myself for the next week. Sunday I normally am writing out to-do lists for the next week.

So when Monday comes around I'm all set to go to work again!

Perfect way to spend a weekend IMO.

How do you spend yours?
